Articles on the Unstuck Journal and pages on the Unstuck website are living documents. This page explains how we correct factual errors, update articles when guidance evolves, and let readers report something that looks wrong.

1. Article metadata

Each Unstuck Journal article shows the following dates near the headline so you can see how current it is:

  • Published. The date the article first appeared on the Unstuck Journal.
  • Reviewed. The most recent date a clinician (Shariq Refai, MD, MBA, FAPA) re-read the article and confirmed the content is still accurate and appropriately scoped.
  • Sources checked. The most recent date the authoritative sources cited in the article were re-verified.
  • Updated. The most recent date the article body was meaningfully edited (a typo fix is not an update; rewording a section, replacing a source, or adding new guidance is).

2. Factual corrections

If a published article contains a factual error, we correct the error in place and add a short correction note at the bottom of the article. The note describes what was wrong and when the correction was made. We do not silently rewrite an article to make a mistake disappear.

3. Evidence updates

When the underlying science, clinical guidance, or authoritative source for a recommendation changes, the article is updated and the "Reviewed" and "Updated" dates are bumped. If the change reverses earlier guidance, we say so plainly in the body of the article.

4. Routine review cadence

Every Journal article is re-reviewed on at least a quarterly cadence, regardless of whether any change is needed. The "Reviewed" date reflects the most recent of those reviews.

5. Page updates outside the Journal

Marketing, legal, and policy pages on beunstuck.app carry an effective date near the top. Material changes to these pages are made under the change-notice procedures in the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

6. How to report something

If you spot a factual error, a broken citation, an outdated recommendation, or anything else that looks wrong on Unstuck, please email corrections@beunstuck.app with:

  • The full URL of the page or article.
  • A short description of the issue.
  • A link to a primary source, if you have one.

We aim to acknowledge correction requests within 5 business days. If the report leads to a change, the article will carry a correction note describing what was changed and when.

7. What we do not change retroactively

We do not edit an article to misrepresent what we said earlier. If our guidance changes, the new version replaces the old version and a note explains the change. Older guidance is not preserved on the public page once it has been superseded, but corrections and material updates are dated so the change history is visible.

8. Editorial scope

The editorial policy describes how articles are written, reviewed, and approved, including the authoritative sources cited and the non-clinical scope Unstuck articles stay within.
