1. Our commitment
Unstuck is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our website at beunstuck.app and to the Unstuck mobile app.
2. Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
The Unstuck website and mobile app target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We currently consider the website to be partially conformant with that standard. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We have self-assessed against these standards using a combination of automated rule-based scanning, manual keyboard testing, and manual screen-reader spot-checks, and continue to work toward full Level AA conformance.
We have not yet completed an independent third-party accessibility audit. We disclose this so that users and organizations relying on formal certification can make informed decisions.
3. Measures we take
To ensure accessibility, Unstuck takes the following measures:
- Includes accessibility as part of our design and development process.
- Reviews accessibility considerations when shipping new features.
- Tests pages and key flows with keyboard-only navigation.
- Tests color and text contrast against WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text, user-interface components, and graphical objects).
- Respects the operating system Reduce Motion preference for animations.
- Uses semantic HTML, descriptive link text, ARIA only where native semantics are insufficient, and visible focus indicators that meet WCAG 2.2 SC 2.4.7.
- Sizes interactive controls to meet the WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8 (Target Size, Minimum) requirement of at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels, and aims for the recommended 44 by 44 pixels where layout allows.
- Reserves scroll padding under the sticky site header so that keyboard focus and in-page anchors are not obscured (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured, Minimum).
4. Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
The Unstuck website is designed to be compatible with current and recent versions of the following:
- Browsers: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile.
- Screen readers: targeted support for screen readers in common modern browsers. Tested combinations currently include VoiceOver (macOS, iOS) and TalkBack (Android). NVDA and JAWS on Windows are expected to work but are not yet part of our routine test matrix.
- Operating-system features: Larger Text / Dynamic Type, Dark Mode, Reduce Motion, Voice Control, and Increase Contrast.
The Unstuck mobile app supports VoiceOver and TalkBack labels for interactive controls, Dynamic Type, light and dark interface modes, sufficient contrast, differentiation without color alone, Voice Control, and Reduced Motion. Captions and audio descriptions are not applicable because the Unstuck app does not contain audio or video content.
The Unstuck website and app are not designed or tested for use with end-of-life browsers or operating systems and may not work correctly in those environments.
5. Technical specifications
Accessibility of the Unstuck website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
6. Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations of the Unstuck website and app:
- Animations: Some pages include subtle entrance animations. These respect the operating system Reduce Motion preference. If animations still cause discomfort, please contact us and we will work to provide an alternative.
- Third-party content: Some links open external websites (such as the Apple App Store) whose accessibility we do not control. We choose external destinations that are widely used and generally accessible, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party sites.
- Older browsers: Users on browsers more than two major versions out of date may experience layout or focus issues. We recommend keeping your browser updated.
- Mobile-app screen-reader coverage: While the Unstuck mobile app supports VoiceOver and TalkBack, individual screens may have minor labeling gaps that we are working to address.
- Automated-only scan scope: Our current automated scanning covers the website's rule-checkable surface. Some WCAG 2.2 criteria (such as cognitive load, reading level, and the lived experience of assistive-technology users) cannot be measured by automated tools and require human and user testing.
7. Third-party audit status
We have not engaged an independent third-party accessibility auditor. If that changes, we will update this statement and note the auditor and date of the assessment.
8. European Accessibility Act (EAA)
Unstuck is a U.S.-focused product. If we ship the app or expand the site materially to the EU, we will publish an EAA-conformant accessibility statement before that release.
9. User testing
We commit to incorporating feedback from users with disabilities into our design process, and to engaging users with disabilities in periodic usability testing once that program is in place. To volunteer, email support@beunstuck.app.
10. Feedback and accessibility coordinator
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Unstuck. The Accessibility Coordinator for Unstuck is the team operating the Unstuck product. You can reach the coordinator through any of the following:
- Email: support@beunstuck.app (subject line: "Accessibility")
- Postal mail: Unstuck, Attn: Accessibility Coordinator, 7901 4th St N, STE 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, United States
When reporting an issue, please include:
- The URL or screen where you encountered the issue
- The device, operating system, and browser you were using
- The assistive technology you were using, if any
- A short description of the problem
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to address confirmed issues as quickly as practical based on severity and effort. If a fix will take longer, we will explain the timeline and any interim alternatives.
11. Assessment approach
Unstuck assessed the accessibility of its website and app by the following approaches:
- Self-evaluation by the Unstuck team.
- Manual keyboard-only navigation testing across the site shell, navigation, footer, and representative pages.
- Manual screen-reader spot-checks (VoiceOver, TalkBack).
- Color-contrast verification of design tokens against WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Automated rule-based scanning using axe-core with the
wcag2a,wcag2aa,wcag21a,wcag21aa, andwcag22aarule sets enabled. The most recent automated scan and code-level WCAG 2.2 AA review was performed on 5/20/2026.
We have not yet engaged a third-party accessibility auditor. We will update this statement when that changes.
12. Formal complaints
We aim to address accessibility concerns directly and promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to pursue a formal complaint under applicable law in your jurisdiction. In the United States, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act may apply. Information about filing an ADA complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice is available at ada.gov/file-a-complaint.
13. Date
This statement was created on 5/6/2026 using the structure recommended by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). The conformance target was raised from WCAG 2.1 AA to WCAG 2.2 AA on 5/20/2026, and the statement was last reviewed on 5/20/2026. We review and update this statement at least annually, and after any significant change to the Unstuck website or app.
